We are a cyber security startup that creates innovative solutions in the area of web, logs and cloud security. Our flagship product, WebOrion, uses our own patent pending technologies to provide our clients with a unique set of counter measures against web hackings including defacements, drive-by downloading, Blackhat SEOs, etc.

Our team is led by security professionals with more than 30 years of cumulative experience in service provider, government, financial and healthcare industries. Our technical team holds many well-recognised certifications (eg. CCIE, CISSP, GCIH, GWAPT, GCIA) and we constantly innovate new products using our strong knowledge of web security, log analytics and cloud security.

1. Full time – Enterprise Sales Leader / Manager

The Enterprise Sales Leader/Manager position is primarily responsible for revenue generation through strategic alliances with customers. The Enterprise Sales Leader/Manager will identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability, and has responsibilities directly related to making sales to include:

  • Meeting with customers at the customer’s site
  • Communicating with customers via phone, email, and teleconference;
  • Providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues
  • Advising customers on suitability of products and solutions based on their technical needs
  • Preparing proposals, presentations, pricing and contracts.
  • Developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solution.

This position requires an in‐depth knowledge of Cybersecurity ecosystem and customer base in one or more verticals of Government, Financial, Healthcare or Education. The position also requires knowledge of the competitive landscape and have the ability to articulate our value proposition to customers clearly, in partnership with Product Managers, Engineering staff and service delivery personnel.

The Enterprise Sales Leader/Manager assumes the role of customer liaison and project lead through the solution development, implementation and life cycle management of the product/service developed to meet the business customers’ evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact businesses within BanffCyber’s service territory, perform Web Security’s needs analysis and provide a detailed solution to these customers.
  • Stay current with changes and developments in the cybersecurity industry. This includes gathering competitive information on products and services, and sharing this information with the product development, marketing, customer service, and executive teams.
  • Champion client’s agreement to purchase through order, design, and implementation phases. During this process the Enterprise Sales Leader/Manager will interface with, and as needed, give direction to other departments within BanffCyber to ensure customer satisfaction with services provided.
  • Develop trusted partner relationships with key customers & partners to retain and grow revenues over time.
  • You will be part of a team that has a fun and friendly start-up culture.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing strategy and sales support.
  • Maintain ongoing customer relationships with travel to our serving areas as required.
  • Continually evaluate business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in revenue budget forecasting and ongoing budget variance reporting.

  • Must be knowledgeable in evolving cybersecurity / IT terminology and technology.

  • Must have current knowledge of competitors’ products and service offerings.
  • Must have exceptional communications skills (both verbal and written) and a strong drive to help customers with creative solutions.
  • Proven success in the development and presentation of sales proposals, strategic services solutions and success in closing complex technical sales.
  • Strong listening and analytical skills are required to determine customer needs and requests.
  • Strong presentation skills are required, both in person and via teleconference or videoconference.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with the information at hand, with the end goal of customer satisfaction and positive revenue generation.
  • Project lead and management experience.
  • Well organized, with attention to detail.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or related field. ( Relevant business sales experience may be substituted)
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, product development or related experience.
  • Strong background of revenue growth in related position within the industry.
  • Thorough understanding of IT / Cybersecurity.
  • Wannabes with no experience but possess strong drive to succeed as a sales professional can apply as well.

2. Full time – Product Manager (aka Product Evangelist)

BanffCyber Technologies (www.banffcyber.com) is an up and coming web security startup with headquarters in Singapore. Our customers are Banks, Government, Telcos, and Large Forbes Global 2000 companies. We are looking for a Product Manager, who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with both our Tech DevOps and Marketing/Sales team to design, build and roll-out our WebOrion Product Suite that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in product management would be a plus, including managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle,and developing product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders
  • Good technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a Start-Up / Matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred

Internship

We are seeking someone who loves web security to join our team in creating a new exciting Web Security Product that will help many organizations deal with cyber threats.

Responsibilities

a) Web Security Researcher

      • You will help to design, develop and create a new Web Security Product to protect against Web Defacements and Hackings.
      • You will focus on researching and writing on web security vulnerabilities on various web platforms such as Ngnix, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento.
      • You will be able to perform manual and/or automated scanning tools to identify these vulnerabilities.
      • You will propose and write firewall rules on both network and application (modsecure) levels to protect against these vulnerabilities.
      • You will also be required to do web application security penetration testing including SQL injection, Cross Site Scripting for our internal systems.

b) DevOps Engineer

      • You will enhance and support our WebOrion security suite to protect websites against defacements and web hackings
      • You will be exposed to the exciting usage of our global AWS infrastructure such as EC2, Shield, Cloudfront, Redis, Lambda, etc in a real world environment.
      • You will be involved in the hardening process to ensure our system is secure.
      • You will be taught and required to do web application security penetration testing including SQL injection, Cross Site Scripting for our internal systems.

Requirements

      • Current 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Student in Computer Science or Equivalent.
      • Strong in Linux, TCP/IP and at least one web programming language eg. Javascript, HTML, Python, PHP..
      • Able to write technical articles well.
      • Preference will be given to those who can do at least 5 Months internship.
      • Based in Singapore.
