Banff Cyber shares with industry about new security threats at IPv6 Conference 2014

Is IPv6 more or less secure than IPv4?

During the IPv6 Conference 2014, our Founder and Director, Matthias Chin, shared about the potential new security threats related to IPv6.  Among such threats include security issues with Man-in-the-middle attacks using ICMPv6, covert data exfiltration using IPv6 Transition mechanisms and Denial-of-service attacks linked to Neighbour Discovery Protocol.

The presentation was done using a live demo of IPv6 security tools.  Best practices to protect enterprises against new IPv6 threats were also shared.

The IPv6 conference, organised by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), is a one-day event aimed at CxOs, Business Managers, Directors, Technology Movers and Shakers. It aims to provide practical knowledge on how you can leverage IPv6 to future proof and enhance your business.  It was held at Mapletree Business City on 14 Mar 2014.
